~*(Chapter #1)*~

I clutched onto my older twin's shoulder as we entered the large creepy stone mansion.  "Damu," I whispered softly, "I'm scared."  His violet eyes locked on with mine, causing him to have to turn his head slightly.

"Don't be scared, Nixie.  They're trying to help us."  He gave me one of his lighthouse bright smiles.  Seeing him smile like that always made me feel like everything was right with the world again.  Even if it was far from being there.
